Taking it easy today because I got the Implanon in this morning. Its starting to ache a little but, I guess the local is wearing off. I think I’m more afraid I’ll dislodge it or something.
And still waiting for my printer. Not much to do until that arrives.
Boys have their athletics carnival tomorrow so I’m going to that. Not sure if its morning only or all day. Hoping the printer gets delivered tomorrow too.
Good on you - you deserve a break. How do you find the Implanon? Is that one of the ones they put under your skin?
I have the Mirena which is an IUD - its great - saves me from making any rash decisions during a clucky moment!!
Yep the rod that goes into your arm. It looks much scarier than it really is. Although my arm was pretty sore from yesterday arvo onwards and is still tender and a little sore today. I’ve got a nice bruise forming.
A few girls I know have had problems with continous periods but the pill is ineffective for me and after 5 babies I need something more stable so I’m willing to see what happens.
I did originally want the Mirena but the doctor I had to see was too long to get an appointment.
How long have you had it in for? And how do you find that?
If the Implanon doesn’t work the Mirena will be my next option.
OK I HAVE TO KNOW.. I HAVE USED EVERY BC THERE IS… NOW I AM ON THE NUVA RING… 2ND MONTH AND WELL I SPOTTED THE WHOLE TIME.. SO ON THE 8TH OF OCT. IM GETTING THE IMPLANON… GOOD IDEA OR BAD??? CAN U SEE IT…HAVE YOU GAINED WEIGHT OR HAD THE WHOLE ACNE THING HAPPEN??? R ARE ALOT OF PPL EXAGERATING?
I’ve only had it in since July but no weight or acne issues for me. I can’t see the rod but I can feel it when I touch my arm there. It’s a few cm’s long.
So far so good here. I love that I don’t have to remember the pill and I haven’t had any major side effects.

i had no probs at all with the mirena - loved it
but since that last comment, i have had it taken out so that I can fall pregnant again! Was easy to have taken out, and my system seems to have kicked back into gear again.
So here is hoping im pregnant soon!
