After picking up the boys from school we drove up to Campbelltown where both my mum and MIL live. Dropped Shaun at his mothers and went to mine for a few hours. Went back to pick Shaun and stayed for a little while (too much time with the MIL is never a good thing)
She got talking about a friend of Shauns he went to school with. Neither of us had seen her for a few years. MIL talks about her and her boys and says she’s doing really well and
"She goes out to work every day you know"
I guess that’s opposed to me who runs a business from home in between raising 5 children. It’s a good thing I am completely uninterested in what my MIL has to say.
Anyway, no printer today. All the printing is on hold until next week now so there’s really not a lot to be done. Finally read a few business pieces and am a little bit through a women entreprenuer piece. Its a pretty good read, long though, so you need to space it out over a few days.
But I did cross a few things off my business to do list surrounding my new logo and I am about halfway through my business guidelines where I am writing out the way my business works as if I were telling someone else what to do.
Its not an in depth thing, just the basics about how I package and what goes into my samples packs, suppliers details etc because I hope to be able to outsource a lot when I am over run with orders so I thought I’d get started on it while things are quiet.
Still have to do plans for the other business I’m hoping to launch. Originally I had wanted everything in place but after reading a few of the business pieces I have come to the conclusion that getting some out and started is better than nothing and I can always tweak it along the way. So I’ll be developing the DIY kit soon to place on ebay and then slowly working my way into a website and other related products.
My eldest turns 8 on Sunday and I’ll be up at Campbelltown again having lunch with my mum and sisters
